Overall job distribution:
I did two of the lay-out for poster (The Crab).  On the other hand, Ellen did other two poster(Very Bloody).  Katie was the one who recorded her sound to read the script in the video.  As for Steffi, she is the one who create the video.  In addition, Ellen wrote the script for video and I check and correct some mistakes.
What I should improve:
I think I should try to get myself to be used to other programs, such as Flash, Photoimpact, Photoshop...etc. so that I can help more in this group work.
Am I happy with my work:
All in all, I am happy, for I convey my idea through my poster and I cooperated with my team members well.

copywritting

What kind of headline was used?
Headline: There is no headline but an ad for ketchup.
                The whole picture is provocative.

Was there a subhead and a slogan?
Subhead/slogan:  It didn't provide any slogan.

Was the visual attractive?
Yes, it visually attractive

Was the overall lay-out creative? Does it make the readers think? In what way?
The overall lay-out is very creative.  It does make reader think what the plain picture which contains paper sunny-side egg and strips of bacon on a white plate means.  Readers do not know what that was about until they saw the word "without", which acts as a ladder to let people's sight climb down until they reach the picture of HEINZ.

The afterthought of finishing Storyteller and the link to It

This is my first time to complete a whole story, Every Day Joe, which was born when I was taking a shower and pondering something about myself, and creating the layout is also difficult. At first, we had different idea toward the content about our E-zine and we decided that we were going to do the research on the daily life of Taiwanese people.  However, this topic was considered too general and we had to find another topic to start our project.  It was certainly the most painstaking part to come up with a perfect idea which every member could all agree with.  Nevertheless, the core of our magazine came into being out of the different thoughts between members and our magazine became a place transforming the monotony into harmony.  We wrote them out of our own thought.  Besides, each storyteller had corrected the content for many times before publishing our Storyteller.   I hope readers can enjoy our stories.  Thanks for the effort of each storytellers.

Fly away Home

Fly away Home

Lost!  Still dizzy, head throbbing, I put down my red ball-point pen with a sigh after finishing correcting the last sheet of composition.  It was not easy to calibrate your sense of English to the right track after having examined papers full of grammar mistakes, which also caused your stomach to ache, for almost four hours.  Mind still meandering, I thought a walk would be a good choice for a rest of my mind.  Browsing, navigating, wandering in the convoluted passageway of the English section at the seventh floor of Wenzao Library is relaxing.  One after another, I scanned every title randomly.  While my thought was still floating in the air, I came to the bookshelf filled with paperbacks published by Pearson Education and my attention landed on a book, Fly Away Home.

As soon as I opened the first page of the book, I stared at it with my mouth agape.  It struck me that it is this book (although not the same one), which gifted me the epiphany to make sense of the English words, for I used the same method to write down every word I had looked up.  In addition, it was not only the first and only English book I had when I was a beginner to learn English but also took me to a brave new world.  Immediately I took this shot.

Following is my childhood memory.  I was at the airport.  Sitting next to me was a teenager who was reading an English novel.  Upon this sight, I made a wish that one day I could be a person who understand the contents of English books, as well as a person who can travel around the world by speaking English fluently.

Closing the book, I felt my mind was clear again.  Suddenly, hunger attacked me and I noticed it is almost five o'clock, about dinner time.  Putting the book back to the shelf, I went back to pack.  Seeing through the transparent-grayish glass, I hoisted my bag to head back.  Smelling the old-yellow-wrinkled-book scent emanated from every masterpiece here, I thought the reason and purpose for my Fly away Home.  Again, I am back.
